Join Catherine for an afternoon of mindfulness. After a short introduction for people who are new to mindfulness, we will explore a gentle yoga practice to cultivate mindfulness of the body (no yoga experience necessary and modifications can be made to suit any injuries or medical conditions), followed by a full body scan and relaxation. We will share tea and a snack before moving into a guided breath meditation and a short period of silent meditation. The afternoon is suitable for all levels of experience including complete beginners, and will be a particularly helpful refresher for those who have completed my Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation course.
Mindfulness practice can be helpful for everyone, including those who experience depression and anxiety. However, if you are currently in a serious phase of these, or other mental health issues, it is best to wait until this has eased before you begin withmindfulness.
